A large fire broke out in the South of Lebanon at an oil facility in October 2021. The fuel tank was filled with benzene and it caught on fire early Monday morning. The fire took more than three hours to contain and extinguish.
A large fire broke out in the South of Lebanon at an oil facility in Zehrani. The fire broke out early in the morning on the 11th of October and took over 3 hours to extinguish. Some 25 fire trucks attended the incident, and firefighters tried to extinguish the fire while also cooling the surrounding tanks to prevent the fire from spreading.
According to Energy Minister Walid Fayyad, the cause of the fire was unknown. He also said an estimated 250,000 litres of petrol burned in the fire.
No injuries were reported.
